The blades utilise CROMOVA 18 stainless steel, Ice tempered and hardened to Rockwell C56- 58 which holds a razor sharp edge longer than any other steel and resists rust, stains and corrosion.
It is often asked why Global knives stay sharp so long without sharpening.
The combination of the elements molybdenum and vanadium is one reason, but even as the Global straight edge gets dull it is still much thinner, and, therefore, much sharper than a knife with a beveled edge.
