Chopping up onions – it’d have to be everyone’s least favourite part of cooking. The Alligator’s a cute little gadget that chops onions for you…so you don’t have to! Just peel your onion, chop it in half, and put it into the Alligator. Close the lid…and your onion’s perfectly chopped!
Inside the Alligator, there’s a heap of criss-crossed blades. They’re razor-sharp, and chop through an onion into cubes in an instant. Don’t worry – the Alligator won’t eat you up – its blades face downwards, so you can’t accidentally cut yourself. Having an Alligator in the kitchen is perfectly safe – believe it or not. It’s easy to clean, too. Just rinse the blades, or put your Alligator in the dishwasher (although no-one will believe you when you tell them there’s an Alligator in your dishwasher…).
This Alligator’s got a funny looking clear dome over the top. It’s there to catch the onion once it’s chopped, so you don’t need to get onion on your hands at all. The collector keeps all your chopped onion in one place, so you can just pour it straight into a bowl or into your frying pan. Now that’s clever!Thanks to the Alligator, you can include onion in every meal and not have to worry about the crocodile tears! Umm…the onion breath, however, is another story…
